- The Schwartz family knows influenza isn’t something to take lightly. David Schwartz and his daughter, Leia, both have asthma and understand how devastating influenza can be for those who fall in the highest-risk groups. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends annual influenza vaccination for everyone 6 months of age and older, and it is especially important for those living with certain chronic medical conditions like asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, and heart disease.1
